Rosette Thank You Card

Friday, November 8, 2013

I made the rosette a while ago...I stamped the script (Hot Off the Press) on crepe paper and gathered it by hand.
Then I stamped the banner and the sentiment (CTMH), cut it out and adhered it on the rosette. Added a card base...and voilà!

The stamp set (Banner Wishes - B1438) is from the Holidays from the Heart Gift Guide (view it HERE).
It will be available until December 31st. So if you like it, better get it while you can! =)

This card was inspired by the sketch #50 from CAS(E) this Sketch! challenge blog. I didn't have time to play, but when I saw the sketch, I knew exactly what I wanted to do...
But I'm entering this card in the Keep It Clean and Simple challenge (Simon Says Stamp)!

Thanks for stopping by today!
Lilian

Update (11/19/13): I'm also entering this card in the Grateful for You challenge at H2H CTMH challenge blog.

Damask Divas Blog Hop: Huntington Pocket Album

Thursday, October 31, 2013

Hello,
Welcome to the Damask Divas Blog Hop!

If you came from Latisha's Blogyou are in the right place.
If you have jumped here and just discovered our Blog Hop, feel free to check the list at the Damask Divas Blog to find the complete list of Blog Hop participants.

We're featuring the Huntington Paper Collection this month.
I love the autumn colors in it! And I had so many ideas for this Blog Hop: scrapbook layouts, cards, place cards, candle ring...you name it! But then, I decided to use this new Kraft Pocket Album from CTMH.

My family usually goes to an Apple Orchard every year. So, I thought I would slide the pictures in the pockets, and maybe some small ones outside the pockets plus some journaling and embellishments...just like what you would do with My Crush™ Books (an upcoming project).

For the Pocket Album, I actually used the "leftovers" from my Huntington WOTG Scrapbooking Kit. I completed the two 2-page layouts, and I was still left with lots of paper for future projects...
After I decided where I wanted the pieces of paper, I simply used Mod Podge® to adhere them on the cover. Then, I used my Cricut and the Art Philosophy cartridge to cut some embellishments (flourish and flowers) and added them to the cover. I also added the Bronze Shimmer Trim on the spine.

I'm still working on the inside...but here's a peek:

Poster Tidings Card

Tuesday, October 29, 2013

It's so cold lately that I'd better post my fall cards before the snow comes! =)

This card uses a retired set from CTMH (Poster Tidings). I added leaf borders (Martha Stewart/EK Success) on both sides and adhered on my patterned card with foam tape.

Have a nice day!

You Make Me Smile Card

Thursday, October 10, 2013

Wow...I was busy last weekend!!!
Apple Orchard on Saturday...Oktoberfest on Sunday...had to take a few days "off" here! =)
But I'm back with a card for a challenge (or two...or three):

So, here it is...I'm still in fall colors mode...

I "cuttlebugged" a panel with a Spellbinders embossing folder, inked it in orange (direct-to-paper technique) and adhered it on my card base.
I stamped my sentiment (CTMH - Cricut®Artiste Collection) in red and orange, cut it out and adhered it with foam tape on card.
Then, I added the sequins! Are you tired of sequins yet? I'm NOT! =)

I'm also entering this card at Casology (Week 65: Crisp):

...and at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge (Use a Rubber or a Clear Stamp)...since I used one clear stamp!

Thanks for stopping by!
Lilian
