CTMH Jun SOTM Blog Hop: Ice Cream!

Sunday, May 31, 2015

Hello,

Welcome to the CTMH Stamp of the Month Blog Hop!!!

If you have come here from Jennifer's Blog, you are on the right path! The blog hop is a great big circle, so you can start here and work your way all around.  If you get lost along the way, you’ll find the complete list of participating consultants HERE.

This month we have more or less 50 Close To My Heart Consultants sharing their creations using this lovely stamp set - Ice Cream Dream.

Here are my projects...I have two cards!
I used the quote stamp to stamp my background on both cards...

Card 1: I added fussy cut images, colored with Copics/ShinHan markers, with foam tape.

Card 2: Front panel was cut out using Artfully Sent Cricut cartridge. I backed it with tiny polka dots patterned paper (it reminds me of cookies...). I added fussy cut images (also colored with Copics/ShinHan markers) with foam tape. I adhered the panel on card and finished it off with baker's twine.

Now, hop on to Michele's Blog to see her beautiful creation!

Cardabilities Design Team Reveal #124: Forever Flip Card

Saturday, May 30, 2015

Hello, crafty friends!

It's the 30th...It's Cardabilities Design Team Reveal Day! It's also my last project as a DT member...hope you enjoyed all my projects!

Here's the fun sketch by Karan:

Our Sponsor for this sketch is Crafty City:

You have until the 13th of the following month to link up (click HERE to link your projects)!
And don't forget to "like" our Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/Cardabilities

When I saw the sketch, I immediately thought swing (or flip) card!

I used double-sided paper and cut the card and wreath using Artfully Sent Cricut cartridge (CTMH).
I heat embossed the wreath in silver. I added a cream panel, a punched border, some washi tape and stamping to the card.
The birds and banner are heat embossed in clear and popped-up with foam tape. The cake was heat embossed in silver.

French Dies {Fri}: Butterfly and Apple Honeycomb Card

Friday, May 29, 2015

Hello,

Today, I have  two die cut cards to share!
I cut both cards using Artfully Sent Cricut cartridge (CTMH).
I heat embossed a few of the "left over" hexagons in gold (and red) and adhered them to the inside of cards.

First up is:

I cut the butterfly using Artbooking Cricut cartridge (it was altered in CCR) and heat embossed it in black UTEE (ultra thick embossing enamel), twice. The second time, I also sprinkled some copper and platinum UTEE.

Now...if you're going to leave the card with the open front like that, I suggest inking or heat embossing the back side of the butterfly for a finished look.
You could also back the die cut front panel with glittered or patterned paper, if you don't want the writing showing.
Another option is to write the message on the back of the card.

Second card:

These hexagons were adhered with foam tape.

Have a nice weekend!!!

Challenges:

I'm not really into gold...but lately, I've been in love with gold! Especially gold/mint or coral, and gold/black.
I used the CTMH Artbooking cartridge for the star overlay and the flower, and I heat embossed them in gold.
I used CTMH Art Philosophy cartridge for the banner and the panel (altered in CCR and trimmed).
Then, I added some stamping to the panel and banner, popped-up the flower with 3-D foam tape, and added the thread and button.

Hello,

3. Add washi tapes and white shimmer tape on the left.
4. Color the white shimmer tape with Copic markers.

5. Add flowers.

6. Stamp a sentiment on a tag (Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge) and adhere it on card (using foam tape).
7. Add pearls on flowers' centers.
8. Add glitter on small flowers' centers.
