Heat Embossed Cards using Embossing Folders

Wednesday, October 13, 2021

 Hello, Kraftie Friends!

I saw this challenge at Just Us Girls and thought I would try out my newest CTMH Botanical Embossing Folder and my old Glitter embossing powder.

I made 3 cards with different techniques...

Card #1

I embossed a panel and tapped VersaMark on gently. Then, I sprinkled and heat embossed it with Glitter Embossing Powder.

For the next 2 cards, I "inked" the embossing folder with VersaMark...one side first then, the other. One will have ink on the de-bossed background areas (Card #2) and the other will have ink on the de-bossed floral details (Card #3)...

This is my 5"x 7" card, using EyeConnect Crafts' Lace-Up: Celebration, Flags...

I brushed white gesso on the Lace-Up: Celebration, Flags, let dry and removed them from the carrier.
I taped different washi tapes on the Flags, trimmed the excess off, re-punched the holes and added a polka-dot ribbon.

I trimmed a light pink panel and stamped "chicken wire" (center) and sentiment (around the edges) with light pink ink (CTMH stamps).
I die cut a white frame in my ScanNCut and stamped texture (CTMH) with brown ink. I outlined it with a fine tip black pen and adhered it on the pink panel.
I stamped sentiment in brown and added a cluster of paper flowers, with sequins in the centers.

Finally, I added the Flags on with foam tape for dimension.

Party Time Drink Card/Invitation

Thursday, June 2, 2016

Hello, Kraftie Friends!

A Card or Invitation using leftovers...actually, I should say extras...from other projects:

The background is from this project HERE...I used a stencil (Club Scrap) and American Crafts Heidi Swapp Color Shine Teal.
I stamped orange slices using Tsukineko VersaMark and heat embossed them in Zing! Fluorescent Embossing Powder Neon Green. I "sliced" them in half and also trimmed a border.
I stamped sentiment on panel (Tsukineko VersaMagic Dew Drop Spanish Olive) with the help of my MISTI (click to view a smaller version - Mini MISTI).
Another sentiment was stamped on banner (with Tsukineko Memento Paris Dusk) and adhered on card. Finally, I adhered some sequins using Mod Podge Dimensional Magic.
Stamps are CTMH.

2. Crafting a Beautiful Mess #3: Always Anything Goes
3. Not Just Cards #32 May Challenge: AGoes

{Tue} Technique: Emboss Resist - You're Out of This World Card

Tuesday, May 31, 2016

Hello, Kraftie Friends!

I made a card using CAS(E) this Sketch #174 and the Emboss Resist Technique...don't you just love this technique? =)

I stamped the stars and circle on a white panel and heat embossed them in white (Stampendous Detail Embossing Powder). I used Distress Stains (Ranger Tim Holtz Distress Stain Tumbled Glass and Faded Jeans) and Clearsnap Smooch Spritz Electric Blue.
I stamped moon from Altenew (in the circle...just one of the layers, so it might be hard to see on photo) and sentiment (on white cardstock). I cut out the sentiment, adhered on card and added sequins.
I punched the corners (We R Memory Crop-A-Dile Corner Chomper) of the panel and adhered it on card base.
To finish it off, I drew a border around the panel using Tsukineko Fabrico Marker Tropical Lagoon.

Challenges:
1. CAS(E) this Sketch #174:

2. Fusion Something Blue
3. Eureka Stamps #195: Anything Goes
4. Cards In Envy: Deep Blue Card Challenge

Mixed Media {Mon}: Heart2Heart March Guest DT - Monogram

Monday, March 21, 2016

Hello, Kraftie Friends!

This is my 4th week as a Guest Designer for Heart2Heart CTMH Challenge Blog!
They have a new challenge every Monday and you have until the end of the month to link your creations, using CTMH products.

This week's Challenge: Monograms.

I started with the base...adhering pieces of patterned papers on the sides.
On a 8" x 12" piece of white cardstock, I stamped letter "Fs" in different fonts.
I threw in a little Mixed Media - using paint (All-Purpose Paint and Gelato diluted in water) - coloring the letters, splattering and watercoloring the edges. Let it dry.
After it dried, I layered more patterned papers, the 5 x 7 photo and the title (foam stickers by American Crafts).
Then, I used a bunch of different stamp sets to stamping and embellishments to the page.

Challenges:
2. Scrapbook March Spelling Bee Challenge: S-O-N-S (Splatter-Orange-Numbers-"more" Splatter)
