Stick It Down April Guest Designer

Friday, April 16, 2021

 Hello, Kraftie Friends!!!

I'm a Guest DT at Stick It Down Challenge Blog today! Check out the post there - click HERE!

Here's the Sketch I was given:

And here's my take:

I used CTMH Daisy Meadows - Scrapbooking Stamp SetSerenity and Happiness Lives Here Papers. I fussy cut the flowers, but they have coordinating Thin Cuts available. I colored them with alcohol-based markers and some were popped-up with foam tape.

This week's Challenge is: For the Birds & the Bees.
And here's my card:

Challenges:

Mixed Media {Mon}: Heart2Heart March Guest DT - Monogram

Monday, March 21, 2016

Hello, Kraftie Friends!

This is my 4th week as a Guest Designer for Heart2Heart CTMH Challenge Blog!
They have a new challenge every Monday and you have until the end of the month to link your creations, using CTMH products.

This week's Challenge: Monograms.

I started with the base...adhering pieces of patterned papers on the sides.
On a 8" x 12" piece of white cardstock, I stamped letter "Fs" in different fonts.
I threw in a little Mixed Media - using paint (All-Purpose Paint and Gelato diluted in water) - coloring the letters, splattering and watercoloring the edges. Let it dry.
After it dried, I layered more patterned papers, the 5 x 7 photo and the title (foam stickers by American Crafts).
Then, I used a bunch of different stamp sets to stamping and embellishments to the page.

Challenges:
2. Scrapbook March Spelling Bee Challenge: S-O-N-S (Splatter-Orange-Numbers-"more" Splatter)

Heart2Heart March Guest DT: Color Fern

Monday, March 14, 2016

Hello, Kraftie Friends!

This is my third week as a Guest Designer for Heart2Heart CTMH Challenge Blog!
They have a new challenge every Monday and you have until the end of the month to link your creations, using CTMH products.

This week is a color challenge: Fern.
I didn't have any cardstock (...actually, I did...but was too lazy to look for it), so I decided to use what I had in hand: ShinHan Touch Twin markers (Leaf Green and Sap Green)!

Here's my card:

I trimmed a green mat and colored the edges with the markers.
I stamped the background (Botanical Backgrounds) in black ink and colored them with the markers.
I stamped "happy" (WOTG) on white cardstock, outlined with the markers and fussy cut it.
I adhered the mat and panel on card base, added a strip of silver vellum, and adhered the sentiment.
Finally, I added some green flowers (Prima) and some pearls for the centers.

Challenges:
1. Heart2Heart CTMH Challenge: Fern
2. Simon Says Wed: A Bit O' Green

Heart2Heart March Guest DT: Retirement Challenge

Monday, March 7, 2016

Hello, Kraftie Friends!

This is my second week as a Guest Designer for Heart2Heart CTMH Challenge Blog!
They have a new challenge every Monday and you have until the end of the month to link your creations, using CTMH products.

The challenge this week is...Retirement.
I decided to use a "retired" CTMH Stamp of the Month, called Beloved Bouquet.
The card could also be used as a "Retirement" Card.

I cut a card with Artfully Sent CTMH Cricut cartridge and backed it with Kaleidoscope and Zoe papers.
Draw "strings", using a silver gel pen, on the cut card base.
Ink and stamp flowers and leaves stamps and cut them out. I used 2 different shades of ink, one for the outlined image and one for the bold image.
Ink and stamp "baby breath" and cut them out.

Arrange your "bouquet" on the card, using foam tape for the flowers. Add sequins.

This is what it looks from the inside...I used a border punch on Kaleidoscope patterned paper:

Challenges:
1. H2H CTMH Challenge: Retirement
2. Word Art Wed #221: AGoes (#4)
3. Die Cut Divas: Something Spring
4. Crafting from the Heart #102: Always AGoes
5. Craft Your Passion #302: Always AGoes

Hello, Kraftie Friends!

I'm a Guest Designer for Heart2Heart CTMH Challenge Blog in March!
They have a new challenge every Monday and you have until the end of the month to link your creations, using CTMH products.

Here's my card for the first challenge of the month (although it's not quite March, yet...ha! But they didn't want to wait 'til the 7th to start!):

The challenge this week is "3"...I chose to use 3 cactus plants.
The stamp set is called "Stuck On You". I stamped the images and cut them out (although they have a compatible die set). I colored them with alcohol-based markers.
I blended ink on the card base. On the white panel, I stamped some dots several times for the "sand" and pierced it with my piercing tool.
I arranged my pots and plants and adhered them on.
Finally, I added a sentiment, some sequins and a couple of tiny flowers (left overs from my border punch).

Challenges:
1. Heart2Heart Challenge Blog: 3
2. Craft Your Passion #301: Always Anything Goes
3. Simon Says Wed Anything Goes

H2H Guest Designer: Artfully Sent Projects

Monday, November 10, 2014

Hello,

I'm the guest designer at Heart 2 Heart CTMH Challenge Blog this month and the newest challenge  is NO ink allowed
Another week without stamping...so sad!

Just kidding! =)
This is a great opportunity for me to play with other tools other than stamps!
So, I decided to play with my Artfully Sent Cricut cartridge!

Here are my cards:

Joy: I cut a 4x6 pocket card, trimmed it for a A2 card, rounded the corners and added washi tape and silver shimmer trim. The gold polka-dot washi tape is actually not that wide, but I taped 2 strips and lined up the dots...

Noel: I changed the size of the pocket card on Cricut Craft Room (I have a E2) to fit the A2 card, added the washi tapes and gemstones, then added some glitter gel.

Tree: This one was a "little" more time consuming...Artfully Sent cut out the tree/banner design for me. I layered woodgrain washi tape on a piece of 5x7 cardstock and adhere behind the front panel (for the trunk cut out). Using the leftover leaves cut outs, I taped different washi tapes, trimmed and adhered them on. For the smaller leaves, I adhered and colored them with watercolored pencils.
I also added gold polka-dot washi tape for the banner and adhered them on.
Of course, to make your life easier, you could have taped washi tape on cardstock and cut them with the Cricut...but I decided to save some cardstock and washi tape...

Supplies (CTMH):
Artfully Sent Cricut Collection
White Daisy Cardstock
Silver Shimmer Trim
Gold Polka-Dots Washi Tape
Ruby Chevron Washi Tape
Woodgrain Washi Tape (retired, but available in Party Washi Tape 3-pack, while supplies last)
Teal Washi Tape (retired)
Silver Washi Tape (retired)
Glitz Glitter Gel (retired)
Others:
corner punch
Gemstones
Textured Cardstock
Washi Tape from my stash
Watercolor Pencils

And click HERE to see another card I made using Artfully Sent (for a CTMH consultants' Blog Hop)!

I'm entering the tree card in the following challenges:
1. WAW #157: Anything Goes
2. Runway Inspired #71: In Memory of Oscar de la Renta

Have a nice week!

I'm back with a project for the first challenge of the month at H2H CTMH Challenge Blog!

OK, enough drama...here's my scrapbook page:

Shabby Chic at H2H!

Monday, February 24, 2014

Hello,

This is my last project for H2H CTMH Challenge Blog as a guest designer...it was so fun to design for them!
The challenge this week is Shabby Chic...

These are my creations...

First, a card:

I used two of the 3 x 4 cards from the new Picture My Life™ Balloon Ride Scrapbooking Program (Z1948), Love Doily (B1418) and Fabulous You (C1533) stamp sets, Flourishes cuts using the Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge, Flowers from the Artiste Cricut Cartridge and lace.
I also used a stamp from Distressed Backgrounds (D1544) on the flourishes for some texture, but I'm not sure if you can see it from the photos...
(P.S. I'm entering this card in the Word Art Wednesday Challenge #120: Anything Goes)

My second project, using the Flip Stand Album from CTMH:

I'm still working on a few more pages...will post them when they're done! =)
(Please note that I haven't taken the protective film off the flip stand album, yet. So it looks kind of frosted...and I'm entering it in Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge: Wedding or Anniversary).

Thanks for stopping by!
And I hope you're having fun creating and linking your creations (you have until the end of the month)!

Altered Photo Frame and Cake!

Monday, February 17, 2014

Hello dear friends,

My third project(s) for Heart 2 Heart CTMH Challenge Blog are here!
This week the challenge is Flourishes...hope you're playing along with this month's challenges! =)

I don't know about you...but I love the new Skylark Collection from the newest CTMH Idea Book & Catalog!!! And I love the projects that feature the Ivy Lane Collection on page 24.
Here's what inspired me:

So, since I love cake, too...I decided to "bake" and decorate my own cake (actually, just a slice) using the Artiste Cricut Cartridge.
You can cut flourishes (from the Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge) to embellish the cake slice...

...or you can use stamps (C1503 The Best Things)!

The flowers are from the Artiste Cricut Cartridge, and the layered butterfly is from the Artbooking Cricut Cartridge.

And I also altered a photo frame with Skylark!
Made a mess on my craft sheet, because I spilled the glue...but it was totally worth it!
