Decorate to Celebrate DT Challenge #113: Tree Card

Wednesday, November 11, 2015

Hello, crafty friends!!!

It's time for Decorate to Celebrate
Although I've been making more 3-D cards than decoration per se...
But it's OK, 'cause you can link anything 3-D for a chance to win a prize from Rhonda! She makes the cutest mini-albums!!!

Here's my card:

Challenges:

I used patterned papers from CTMH for my background and banners...I added some hand-drawn stitches on them and at the bottom.
Twisted Tree is from Creative Vision Stamps...I stamped it, colored with Copics, fussy cut it and adhered on card. Then, I stamped, colored, cut out the "leaves" and adhered them with foam tape.

Thanks for stopping by!

Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog DT Challenge #264: Anything Goes!

Monday, November 9, 2015

Welcome to another Challenge Me Monday at FCCB!!!

Challenge #264 Anything Goes

This Weeks Sponsor:   Diana Martin of  leeleecarddesigns.blogspot.com!

The prize for this challenge is CTMH August stamp of the month set called "Framed".  It's a $17.95 value, D-size & coordinates with the new Artistry cartridge!

To qualify for the prize, be sure to use at least 1 Cricut cut on your project and if it's not obvious, let us know what cartridge you used. If you use a Cricut Explore machine, at least one cut must be from the Cricut catalog of images.

And, if you submit a project in our challenge that isn't a card, you will get two entries for a chance to win the prize instead of one!

This is my project...an explosion box for a friend, who got married recently:

I used foiled and regular patterned paper for the cuts...I used Mini Books and CTMH Artiste Cricut cartridges.
I made some alterations to the cake box in the center, though...I made it shorter by trimming the sides down:

Here's are the pages for photos:

I printed a Bible verse for the top flap and a label for the bottom one - with their names and the wedding date:

I added some embellishments (dimensional stickers) and decorated the "cake" and the lid with flowers and/or dimensional sticker.

Have a nice week and thanks for stopping by!

Happy Saturday!

I have a digital scrapbook layout to share today! This is for my Project Scrapbook26 #19! Only seven more to go!

I used Studio J (when I used to be a CTMH consultant)...I used a template, but I think I altered the design a bit for this one. I chose my papers and embellishments and added some journaling.
I ended up printing this layout.

The Card Concept DT #39: Daisies Birthday Card

Wednesday, September 9, 2015

Hello, crafty friends!

I'm so excited!!! This is my first project for The Card Concept in the Mixed Media category!
Here's the photo inspiration:

And here's my card:

Challenges:
I was inspired by the colors and the flowers...so, I started with a panel I sprayed with purple ink. I stamped a texture stamp with blue ink and blended blue gel stick (aka Gelatos for kids) using a wet wipe.
I cut flourish using Cricut and heat embossed it in silver. I also cut daisies in different sizes, scored and bent the petals, layered, and added gel stick and glitter glue for the centers.

Finally, I stamped sentiment on a banner, adhered it on card and added sequins.

Decorate to Celebrate DT Challenge #108: Fall Cricut Garland

Wednesday, September 2, 2015

Hello, crafty friends!

It's time for Decorate to Celebrate! You can create anything 3-D for a chance to win a prize from Rhonda!

My sons painted some pumpkins and we used the leftover paint on some paper from IKEA.

After it dried, I cut leaves from my Artiste Cricut cartridge (and hand-cut some others).
I braided 2 yards of yarn.
Then, I simply stapled the leaves on.

I really liked how it turned out...simple and rustic...
