Decorate to Celebrate DT Challenge #92: Love Heart Wall Decoration

Wednesday, January 21, 2015

Hello,

It's time for a new challenge at Decorate to Celebrate
It's Anything Goes - create decorations for anything you please (3-D projects, cards in a box, and cards with any 3-D cut out on it).

I made this wall decoration with my Cricut:

Supplies:
Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge from CTMH (heart, banners and rose)
stamps (CTMH)
patterned papers (KI Memories, The Paper Studio)
hemp string
mini clothespins
paper flowers (Recollection)
Brilliance ink pad

I cut the same heart shape (almost 11 inches) out of white cardstock and pink patterned paper. The white heart was altered in CCR. I also cut out 4 flags in black and a spiral in cream, which I rolled into a rose.
Don't know if you can see it in the pics, but I weaved hemp around the open spaces, and also used hemp for hanging the banner and the heart.
I spelled "LOVE" (using stamps and a pearlescent ink pad) on the flags and added them with clothespins. I like using Brilliance ink pads on black paper...it gives you the chalkboard look with a little bit of shimmer.
I finished it up with two cut out butterflies and layered flowers with the rose.

Thank you for stopping by!
And don't forget to link your projects HERE!
Lilian

I'm linking it at:
1. WAW #167: Anything Goes
2. MMMC #8: Something New for the New Year (I've never made a shaped wall decoration with my Cricut...believe it or not!)

Damask Divas Blog Hop: Lollydoodle

Friday, February 28, 2014

Hello,

Welcome to the Damask Divas Blog Hop!

If you came from Amie's Blogyou are in the right place.
If you have jumped here and just discovered our Blog Hop, feel free to check the list at the Damask Divas Blog to find the complete list of Blog Hop participants.
We're featuring the Lollydoodle Paper Collection this month.

I used the paper that came in the Workshops On The Go™ Lollydoodle Cardmaking Kit. After cutting the papers for the set of 15 cards, I used the "scraps" for my projects (I just didn't follow the cutting guide...so I ended up with more paper to play with!). I know...what a rebel...=)

Here are my projects:
Card:

And a 8x8 layout:
After I took the pictures, I realized I didn't tuck in some feathers in the fold (top left corner) as planned...

I made it for my niece, so the plan is to put it in a black frame. I didn't take a pic with the frame, so here's what it would look like:

Supplies:
C1584 Feathers
Stamp set from the Lollydoodle Cardmaking Kit
Z1807 Pink Glitter Gems
Artbooking Cricut Collection
White Daisy Cardstock

Your next stop is Sharon's Blog...hope you enjoy our Blog Hop!

Here are some Easter gifts for my family (we are getting together this coming weekend, so "shhh"...don't tell them I have made these!) =)
The base is a piece of scrap mat board. I got them from a friend that works in a frame shop.
These were inspired by the Workshops on the Go® Buzz and Bumble Scrapbooking Kit (G1054) projects.

This one is for my niece:

Detail of the flowers and bee (I used Stardust Glitz™ Glitter Gel - Z1313):

I'll be making variations on this photo of my sons for my mom and sisters-in-law:

They can be displayed on an easel or hung as ornaments (just punch holes and put a pretty ribbon on top!). I haven't decided what to do yet...but I think I might just add the ribbon! What do you think? Ribbon or no ribbon?

The next blog on the list is Carolyn's Blog.
Hope you have a great time on our Blog Hop checking out all the creations using Buzz and Bumble!

Damask Divas Blog Hop: Chantilly Weekly Planner

Thursday, February 28, 2013

Hello!
I'm so excited! This is my first blog hop!

If you came from Jamie Blades' Blog - Creative Projects, you are in the right place.

If you have jumped here and just discovered our Blog Hop, fell free to check the list at Damask Divas Blog to find the complete list of Blog Hop participants.
And don't forget to enter the Damask Divas GIVEAWAY this month. Enter to win a Close To My Heart Stamp Set.

This month we are using the Chantilly Paper Packet for our creations. This is what I came up with:

I've seen a lot of "dry erase" weekly planners on Pinterest, using photo frames or collage frames and wanted to make one. I have had this 8 x 10 inches acrylic frame with magnets for the longest time now...but never really used it.
I guess you can say I just "killed two birds with a stone"...although I would never kill birds...

All I had to do was cut three 1.5 inch strips and one 1 inch strip of papers from the Chantilly Paper Packet and adhere them on a piece of 8 x 10 white cardstock, as shown.
Then, I used the stamp set that came with Workshop on the Go Chantilly Scrapbooking Kit to decorate the left side (if you buy the kit you get the papers and the stamp set!)
I used the Trinity Alphabet Set for the days of the week.
And finally, I inked the edges of the final piece.

Here's the rest of the supplies I used for the project:
Cotton Candy Stamp Pad
Memento Rich Cocoa Ink Pad
Memento Pear Tart Ink Pad
8 x 10 Acrylic Frame with magnets

The next blog on the list is Melissa Lind's My Watermelon Moon.
Hope you have a great time on our Blog Hop checking out all the creations using Chantilly.
If you get lost, just hop on over to Damask Divas Blog for the full list.

Thanks for visiting!
Lilian
