I watched a technique video on Spotlight Die Cutting (by the genius Jennifer McGuire) the other day and decided to make a card based on it. 

But instead of die cutting the tag, here's what I did:

I stamped and heat embossed the branches on the back and mounted the panel on kraft paper.

On my work mat, I placed the panel next to the tag. I positioned my tag the way I wanted it and stamped on it. Then, all I had to do was line the images up on the card base.

And add some hearts, birds, banner with sentiment, glitter and a washi tape "ribbon"...and voila'!

Seashell Butterfly Card

I saw the One Layer Challenge at Hero Arts a while ago, but almost forgot about it if I had not checked my e-mail a few days ago...so here's what I created...

I used an overlay cut from the Artbooking Cricut cartridge (CTMH) as a stencil and modeling paste, on the left side of the card. Then, I created my seashell "butterfly" with the masking technique and hand-drawn antennae.
I watercolored the hexagons by tapping ink pads on my mat, adding water and using a paintbrush.
Finally, I sprayed some gold ink and stamped the background text.

Embossed Gold Rose Congratulations Card

This card was inspired by the sketch at Retro Sketches:

...and the color was from Addicted to CAS: Gold.

I used Gold Polka-Dot Washi Tape (CTMH).
I heat embossed the flower and "leaves" in gold (Ranger) and cut them out.
Take a look at the stamp set (C1576) Pick a Posie (CTMH) and guess how I "made" the leaves:

The sentiment is from (B1438) Banner Wishes (CTMH).
